Peanut butter, banana and coffee smoothie with a pinch of cocoa powder, the best morning booster for busy mornings {refined sugar free, gluten free, clean eating, vegan-option} 

Peanut butter and banana smoothies are our afternoon treats very often. We love drinking this light smoothie after a long day, because it’s simple, healthy and it’s ready in 2-3 minutes. Mixing this combo with coffee is an excellent idea! The smoothie combines three beloved ingredients into a creamy smoothie rich in flavour which can be a delicious afternoon treat or a perfect breakfast smoothie.

If you’re not a morning person this quick breakfast recipe could be perfect for you: it combines your morning coffee into a nutritious and hearty breakfast smoothie. These ingredients go so well together, combining coffee and a PB-banana smoothie together results in a delicious drink which is perfect for a quick boost of nourishment to star your day.

 

The best part of this healthy smoothie is: it’s ready in 5 minutes; just make your coffee (espresso) pour it into a blender and blitz it with a banana, peanut butter and milk (of your choice). Sprinkle the top of your smoothie with a pinch of cocoa powder and add some ice cubes if you desire.

Start your day drinking this tasty dessert-y like smoothie to wake you up and it will keep you full until lunch. This lovely smoothie is not just tasty it’s healthy too: gluten and refined sugar free, and you can easily make it vegan and dairy free using plant milk (I recommend almond milk). Enjoy!

Peanut butter, banana and coffee smoothie, the best morning booster for busy morning {refined sugar free, GF, vegan-option}
Ingredients
  • ½ cup freshly brewed coffee
  • ½ cup milk of your choice (almond milk or skimmed milk)
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1½ teaspoon peanut butter (organic, sugar-free) - I used Whole Earth Organic Smooth Peanut Butter
  • ¼ teaspoon cocoa powder
  • ice cubes * optional
Let's get started!
  1. Pour the coffee, milk and banana into a blender, then add peanut butter and blend the mixture until is smooth and creamy.
  2. Pour the smoothie into cup and sprinkle the top with cocoa powder. Add some ice cubes if you desire.
  3. Enjoy!
