Refreshing banana smoothie

Super easy and healthy banana smoothie, made with milk and a pinch of cinnamon – a refreshing nutritious drink for hot summer days

This healthy, creamy banana based smoothie seasoned with a pinch of ground cinnamon is the easiest and quickest refreshing drink you’ll need these hot summer days. Drink this delicious smoothie as a morning booster or as an afternoon refresher.

All you need to prepare this nourishing smoothie are basically three simple ingredients: ripe bananas, milk of your choice and ground cinnamon, plus a blender or food processor. Just toss everything into the blender and blitz the mixture until smooth and creamy. This smoothie gets perfectly delicious using skimmed milk, almond milk or coconut milk (tried and approved). For a cooler result add some ice cubes to the smoothie, use frozen banana or freeze the banana for 1 hour before blending it.

This tasty banana smoothie is nourishing, keeps you hydrated and has a lot of benefits: the combination of banana and milk provides protein, fibre, calcium and minerals. Also is a quick and easy way to get your vitamins in an ice cold refreshing drink.

Ingredients
  • 1½ large ripe banana | or 2 medium (or frozen banana)
  • 1½ cup milk (skimmed | almond | coconut)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4-6 ice cubes (optional)
Let's get started!
  1. Place the banana in a blender, followed by milk and cinnamon.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes. Make sure all banana chunks are gone.
  3. Pour into two glasses, add the ice cubes and sprinkle the top with a pinch of cinnamon. Serve immediately.
